I cant seem to get the snare effect to sound right on the cajon that I built. Anyone been having problems when building a canjon with the snare I have taken the snare out for now. Some ideas will be wonderful i really wanna get to playing.

What sort of snare do you use?

I BUILT MY CAJON FROM PLANES THAT I FOUND ON Y TUBE I USED DRUM SNARES AND WAS HAPPY WITH SOUND THEN I SAW A CAJON IN A GUITAR SHOP THAT USED GUITAR STRINGS WITH ADJUSTERS ON THE BOTTEM OF THE CAJON AND NOW I HAVE DRUM SNARES AND GUITAR STRINGS AND THE SOUND IS GREAT
