He was born in Monserrat and began playing at age 13. Now making Argentina his home, he has established himself as a much sought after player playing not only cajon but congas, bongos, guitar and timpani, working with artists such as Rafael Santa Cruz, Pepe Vázquez, Eva Ayllón, Luis Pochi Rios and many more.
Huber is also the director of the afro peruvian group Negros De Miercoles and endorses A Tempo Cajons. He also has many great videos on youtube where you can learn traditional Afro-Peruvian styles.
Saori Sendo is an awesome Japanese percussionist. Her cajon playing is powerful, progressive and innovative. Saori plays with many of Japan's top artists. She also teaches workshops across Japan.
Born in Lima, Perú, Lalo Izquierdo is a founding member of the Afro-Peruvian Cultural Association "Perú Negro", a well-known ensemble that has traveled the world promoting Afro Peruvian culture. He is not only a master cajon player but a choreographer, dancer, and folkloric innovator.
For 15 years he collaborated artistically with the Central University of Venezuela. He returned to Perú as professor of the National Superior School of Folklore, Jose Maria Arguedas, to begin a series of cultural exchanges among national and international colleges and universities.
Lalo has been teaching dance for the past 30 years. His outstanding performances have been recently acclaimed in artistic events such as the 2001 San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, People Like Me, and Collage of African Cultures.
Martin Rottger is probably Germany's best known cajon player and also one of its first pioneers of adapting the drum set styles of rock and blues to be played on the cajon. He has played with many top blues and rock artists over the years and today Martin plays with Blues Culture, Farhad Heet & Martin Röttger and Eight to the Bar.
Martin endorses Schlagwerk Percussion and has a new signature cajon with them. He is also a great cajon educator and has produced several instructional Dvd’s and books for the instrument.
